Şap!’s mission is to produce, spread, and sustain a living intellectual infrastructure, whereby ideas can be tested, knowledge can be produced and shared, relationships can develop over time, and new ideas and creative practices can grow.

A vehicle for experimenting with alternative education models, Şap! supports artists and thinkers at different stages of their practices, creating opportunities for research and facilitating meaningful exchange between local and international communities. The Institute seeks to preserve and activate regional artistic histories while enabling new forms of cultural production to develop.
